Monascus Red Pigment is a natural pigment made from oriental monascus, which is an unique microorganism for edible pigment at present in the world, Monascus pigment(red yeast rice) is an excellent strain separated from traditional oriental monascus strain. It is made from rice and soybean by traditional technology and modern genetic engineering.
Monascus Red Pigments (Red Kojic Rice) is an edible natural color made from rice as the main raw material , adopting modern submerged fermentation and distinctive extract technology based on bioengineering principle and traditional Chinese Red-mould-rice(Angkak) production technique. Characterizing in high chromogenic equivalent, unadulterated tint, stable toward light and heat, adaptation to wide PH range ,good solubility in both water and alcohol, nontoxic, convenient and easy to use, Monascus Red pigment can be widely used in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics industry and others. It is also believed that natural Monascus Red pigment contains some functional substances.
